The Magic Of Rain Pools
Spring thunderstorms can leave enchanted small rain pools in low lying meadows & fields. Sometimes concealed on all sides by spring vegetation. They can be magical & worth putting on your water boots and exploring. You never know what you will find.

I was asked to accompany this family to the lake, on account of a cat. Thankfully, the only “danger” mom perceived was a little girl, who approached quickly with a high-pitched “AWWW”—wanting to hug them. 😍

This guy was kind of scary! The pair landed and saw me standing at the shore in the reeds. The dominant bird approached the shore with its presumed mate between us and gestured with its long neck and noisy long tongue. the threat worked with my retreat.

This was a very beautiful hawk that I just so happened to be outside to photograph. I saw it hunting some pigeons, it came down, tried to catch a young pigeon and missed and then sat on this gate for about 15 min and then flew away.
