3612/3 Photo taken by me during a school trip to Mana Pools. The buff charged us while we were taking a morning break - my bag can be seen on its left. It later moved off and the 3 boys came to safety. It had been wounded by a poacher and a few days later it was shot by a ranger.

Really old observation I've found in my phone. Those are juvenile M. monspessulanus individuals that I have found at my parents house. It is almost sure there was a nest hiding underground near olive trees.

Dead, floating in a shallow pool of water. Gravid, approx 36 inches long. Cover photo is after I flipped it over, you can see the damage to the last third of this snake, and babies fell out. The 2nd photo is how I first saw the snake. All babies were dead, some very close to being fully developed. Total number of babies TBD.
