In forest near edge of a 2-acre bog. Ottawa National Forest. This is the first time I've tried to identify Sphagnum in 27 years. Photos include one stem leaf, branches, a branch leaf section, and a close-up of a branch leaf. The last one shows, I think, the strongly ringed pores in the hyaline cells.
