County plans nature center for Santa Ysabel Preserve.
County Department of Parks and Recreation owns and manages the 5,400-acre preserve near the intersection of state routes 78 and 79 in Santa Ysabel and wants to build a 6,000-square-foot nature center with educational exhibits showcasing the unique ecology and history of the surrounding environment.

Grand opening of the new Santa Ysabel Nature Center will be December 14, 2019 at 11:00 AM. The center is located at 22135 Highway 79 in Santa Ysabel (about 1/4 mile north of the Post Office).
