Taxonomic notes: Gans (2005) lists as a full species Agamodon immaculatus, described and since treated as a subspecies of A. anguliceps. This author provides no basis for this action, and this account therefore treats this taxon as a subspecies of A. anguliceps.

This species is known from the south-central coast of Somalia (where it is widespread - Lanza 2005) (Gans 2005). The subspecies A. a. immaculatus is known only from Afghedud in the Mudug region and a site in Galgadud "7 km NW of the Rugno Well" (Lanza 1990), both in central Somalia. Gans (2005) includes eastern Ethiopia in the species' distribution, however his source for this is unclear and the species is not included in a recent field guide to the reptiles of Ethiopia (Largen and Spawls 2010).

This species is "not uncommon" (Parker 1942).

This is a fossorial species, and is thought to be associated with relatively humid soils given its distribution (Parker 1942). No other data are available on its ecology.

There is presumably no use or trade in this species.

It is unknown whether any threats to this species exist.
