Join PODER, Literacy for Environmental Justice, the California Native Plant Society, the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission and the San Francisco Department of the Environment for a grassroots bioblitz in the very southwest corner of McLaren ParK!
A bioblitz is an intensive one-day study of biodiversity in a specific location. We’ll look for birds, mammals, reptiles, butterflies, insects, spiders, trees, flowers, mushrooms, anything!
People of all ages and skill levels are welcome. You bring your curiosity, a smart phone with the iNaturalist app downloaded (or digital camera), and tons of enthusiasm. We’ll rally some experts and folks who know the area. Together we’ll make some science! The fun happens on Saturday March 24th.
