I returned to this trail on the Southwest side of the reserve (La Cresta Heights entrance) with the intent to document Juncus and Sedges but got totally distracted by blooms and butterflies. Pale Swallowtails were teasing me along the path but would not land anywhere near, at all. One cannot miss their presence as they are as big as a humming bird. Only towards the end of my exploring did one finally land on a Xilococcus bicolor and gave me ample time to document it.
