CATS - Wildway Passage Trail

The Champlain Area Trails' (CATS) "Wildway Passage Loop" is a one-mile walking trail located near Westport NY. The property was logged before it was purchased by CATS, but some of the old growth forest was untouched. As a result, the ecology of this trail is greatly varied, with old growth forest, emerging forest, grassy areas, and wet brookside sections. The purpose of this project is to document the flora and fauna of the trail, with emphasis on forest succession and the interplay of the older forested area and emerging grasslands and forest. פחות ↑
