The Banks Peninsula Track is a spectacular 35 kilometre tramping track on Banks Peninsula, New Zealand. The track opened in 1989 as the first privately managed track in New Zealand. It operates as a two or four day trip. Bookings are essential.

This NatureWatch NZ project gathers together observations of wild things along the track, which spans the sheltered Akaroa harbour, the rugged mountain tops above, and the wild Pacific-facing western coastline.
