Trail Camera observations of Animals only within these 10 South Florida Counties: Broward, Collier, Glades, Hendry, Martin, Miami-Dade, Monroe, Okeechobee, Palm Beach, and St Lucie. Please, only quality observations where Research Grade can be made. GIFs are highly encouraged to those who use video as their Trail Camera setting. Or, if a video is too revealing to be cut down to a GIF, please include the link where it can be viewed. On a map, I will pick a general location I may have crossed several times within that natural area and use that centralized spot for all observations within, as my Trail Cameras do not have GPS and some, such as hunters, may also wish to keep their very exact location a secret.
Quality Trail Camera observations are incredibility valuable on iNaturalist, as they may be much better at capturing elusive animals than one hiking with a camera in hand. The ambition of this project is to show evidence of a wide range of species that usually remain rarely seen.
Whether you call it a hobby or a sport, planting Trail Cameras to target certain species or merely getting lucky, takes a lot of work and strategizing. There are millions of great places to put a Trail Camera, but the biggest obstacle are other people that may find your camera and do whatever to it. So those million places get cut way down and most of your strategizing goes into people not finding your Trail Camera(s) than where best to get the animal you may be targeting.
Members who join this project, let's get competitive! Who can get a Panther? A Bear? A skunk? The most species?
Happy Hunting!
