I am a gardener (certified Master Gardener, Penn State Extension) and amateur photographer. I photograph insects nearly every day. When we purchased our house in 2020, it was surrounded by lawn and mulch beds. We created a large meadow, pollinator garden, and multiple raised and other planting beds. The 2-acre property is now certified "Pollinator Friendly" by Penn State Extension, and I've noticed a huge increase in the numbers of insects that visit. My profile photo shows what I call my "grove" of Amorphophallus konjac plants, voodoo lilies. It includes more than 50 plants (with more each year) that started from a single tuber.
