I am now retired from a career in aviation related engineering, and can now more fully pursue my passion of learning more about the natural world around me. I have done quite a bit of volunteering over the years with local natural resources groups (bird counts, herp surveys, stream ecology surveys, etc.), and have developed a particular interest in environmental education with youngsters.
Although I am fascinated by all forms of flora and fauna, probably my favorite critters are the herps; in particular reptiles.
I just recently discovered iNaturalist and am very excited about the possibilities it affords.
