I don't have much for the Journal of 2017. But 2018 will see more commitment here from me.
I am specially interested in Marine Alga of the North-east Atlantic, where I live on an Island

Not a rare seaweed but takes some IDing. A detailed examination is required. It is a nice and delicate red but discolours quickly at the strandline. It can be confused with Membranoptera alata (Winged weed) but the latter does not have the lovely leaflets at midribs.
Under the microscope it is spectacular (most delicate reds are).
To get the best photos, they will need laying on a white board or light table and teased out wet with a fine art brush.
