Eggshell found
Yesterday, September 8, 2022, I found an eggshell half from a hatched egg on the Ponderosa trail by the condo stand. It was white and obviously had hatched. Bit late in the year. After looking at our reference books, I think it might have been from a Mourning Dove as they can nest late in the season and it was about the right size and color. It was still unusual to find a fresh eggshell like that.
