National Geographic’s Great Nature Project Teams Up with iNaturalist 2014-11-23
Now you can submit observations to iNaturalist directly from National Geographic’s Great Nature Project. Since it launched in 2013, the Great Nature Project has had a presence on iNaturalist.org as its own "project", which was one of many ways to participate. We’ve been working closely over the last several months with folks from National Geographic to create this new portal into iNaturalist. Unlike NatureWatchNZ and naturalista, the Great Nature Project site has a subset of iNaturalist functionality with a different design, look, and feel, but you’ll still use iNaturalist to log in. If you browse the photo stream, you can comment and add IDs to other contributions to the Great Nature Project that have the iNaturalist icon. We look forward to working with National Geographic to reach more people and encourage nature exploration.
