Crows, whipbird and some other small birds- if anyone knows please let me know!
Can anyone identify what creature shed this?? It looks like it came from an insect and it’s huge, yet only seems to be a part of it. Pencil for size reference. Found at the base of a gum tree. It’s segmented and has the feel of a cicada shell (crunchy) but I can’t tell what is on the end - is it a split tail or did it curl as it molted? It appears to have wing impressions stuck to the underside. Phasmid maybe? Giant cicada? It’s bizarre, I’ve lived in Australia my whole life and I have never seen anything like it. I hope someone can help identify it.
Found next to another much larger one, trapped in our screen door late at night. This one has its legs bitten off…
An anyone tell me what this bird call is? It’s been happening for months in the thick bush garden at our home and I have never seen the bird, despite searching for it.
