Frond measures 2,350mm. Growing amongst tree ferns in a rubbish pile on the property. Si.ilar growth habit to bracken fern. Just much grander is scale
The suggestion of Pittosporum doesn’t look right to me. Leaves not wavy at the margins and growing up a rock a bit like a fig.
Im leaning towards myrsine variablis as the leaves seemed a bit too thin and small for M. howittiana. The texture of the truck was also rougher than I’m used to for howittiana.
Several shrubs, approx 2m, growing in weedy reserve downslope from gardens. Leaves clustered at twig tips, distinctly peppery when crushed. Resembles Tasmannia sp. though that seems improbable at such a low altitude (maybe 3m above sea level).
