according to ITS but more data will be helpful to discern better..
Originally thought this might be B. quercicola. However, spore dimensions suggest otherwise (Q too low ie not elongate enough). Spores seem closer to magnata which may be a relative generalist and there were sparse conifers around
Odor of "overripe apple and silly putty" (in the past I've noticed this "silly putty" aroma emitted from Geopora cooperi that was in a patch being excavated by squirrels (indicating ripeness)...
