Found on log previously occupied by saprobic polypore. Red fluid exudes from bruising developing slowly over 30 seconds. Possible Fuligo septica known to bleed when ageing, though paler than expected.

Name based on identical macro and micro morphology to a previous observation, but measurements of conidia needed to be sure.

on a rotten fir log/ parchment orange and cream with shelving "teeth" and white fungal disks on top that might be part of the fungus or might be a mycoparasite. White spores cast on top of log that might be from the parchment or the mycoparasite: ellipsoid, almost subglobose, unigutulate: 5.0 - 5.4 x 4.0 to 4.5/ pore shape and size consistent with Poriella subacida/ La Fonge photo by Herman Lambert, 2013, shows a white disk on the P subacida photo

Growing on Ramaria cf. stricta on mossy logs along a small creek. 2 types of conidia: globose, roughened aleuriospores and hyaline, smooth aseptate conidia. Aleuriospore measurements: (17.4) 18.5 – 28.1 (34) × (13.7) 16.9 – 26.6 (27.8) µm, Q = 1 – 1.2 (1.4); N = 30, Me = 23.7 × 22.1 µm; Qe = 1.1. Hyaline conidia measurements: (6.3) 7.5 – 13.3 (15) × (3.5) 4.6 – 6.9 (8.2) µm, Q = (1.4) 1.5 – 2.1 (2.3); N = 30, Me = 10.2 × 5.8 µm; Qe = 1.8.

There were many insect larvae, frozen solid, on/in the pore surfaces of some of these sporocarps.
In the last photo, T. cinnabarina can also be seen sharing the substrate.

Have you ever seen such a perfect specimen? I was stunned when I first found it before it had released its spores. I was able to take photos, continue my journey, and then about 2hrs later on my way back I checked in and found it had released much of its spores. Pictures 2,3,4,5 are all earlier, and photos 1,6,7 are 2hrs later.
