I grew up running barefoot through the woods in the Fingerlakes region of NY. I learned a lot about plants and birds growing up through my whole family's love of nature and gardening, and I'm loving how much more I can learn through iNaturalist and Native Plant Trust's seminars.

I'm not an expert naturalist; I studied physics in school. But I love green and wild things, and want to do what I can to help the little slices of nature in suburban MA thrive before I wander off into the forests for good.
