Weekly statistics between February 28, 2021 and March 6, 2021

This week 69 observers made 549 observations between Sunday, February 28, 2021 to Saturday, March 6, 2021. Spring is on the way, and Anacostia Watershed observers are springing into action with observations! Among the top five observers, @carrieseltzer observed 139 examples of life in the Anacostia watershed; @dbarber contributed 104; @ronwertz contributed 53; @dtread1 contributed 46; and @ stephen220 contributed 23. Rounding out the top 10, @jimdella contributed 22; @epic2112 contributed 20; @lauriedkr contributed 15; @wilpersm contributed 14; and @ecovrar contributed 7. 37 people contributed one observation, 5 people contributed two observations, and 9 people contributed 3 observations. Plants sprouted in front of birds (289 observations), followed by Birds (137 observations) and Fungi (45 observations). Amphibia was the least observed Taxon, with 1 observation. Ray-finned fishes were not observed at all for a sixth week in a row!

This week 94 observers made 533 observations between Sunday, March 14, 2021 to Saturday, March 20, 2021. Among the top five observers, @dbarber observed 80 examples of life in the Anacostia watershed; @carrieseltzer contributed 59; @dtread1 and @jmgconsult each contributed 36; and @jimdella contributed 30. Rounding out the top 10, @wilpersm contributed 22; @epic2112 contributed 20; @sandra_h1101 and @stephen220 each contributed 16; and @kianab21 contributed 15. 45 people contributed one observation, 13 people contributed two observations, and 6 people contributed 3 observations. Plants stayed in front of birds (292 observations), followed by Birds (115 observations) and Insects (44 observations). Spiders (Arachnids) had the fewest observations, with two. Mollusca had three observations.

Among the top five observers, @dtread1 observed 110 examples of life in the Anacostia watershed; @stephen220 contributed 53; @zdanko contributed 44; @ronwertz contributed 40; and @tiberiusdreadnought contributed 31. Rounding out the top 10, @epic2112 contributed 29; @blitzen1986 contributed 28; @danielgonzalez2 contributed 28; and @wilpersm and @jimdella each contributed 21. 66 people contributed one observation, 14 people contributed two observations, 8 people contributed 3 observations, and 4 people contributed 4 observations. Plants stayed in front of birds (227 observations), followed by Birds (200 observations) and Reptilia (133 observations). Amphibia was the least observed Taxon, with 1 observation. Among the top five observers, @carrieseltzer observed 178 examples of life in the Anacostia watershed; @ronwertz contributed 83; @dtread1 contributed 75; @stephen220 contributed 65; and @dbarber contributed 58. Rounding out the top 10, @wilpersm contributed 53; @caz1hiker contributed 22; @hagueew and @lauriedkr each contributed 18; and @katiehodge contributed 17. 65 people contributed one observation, 18 people contributed two observations, and11 people contributed 3 observations. Plants stayed in front of birds (546 observations), followed by Birds (172 observations) and Reptilia (95 observations). Protozoa had the fewest observations, with just one. Mollusca had three observations. Ray-finned fishes (Actinopterygii) had the second fewest observations, with two.
