As you all know, I am new to this whole thing. I have found one other setting that I was able to changer and it opened the floodgates on observations! This is more of what I was hoping to see! Now I am double excited about what we have accomplished! Make sure to keep loading until the end of the weekend! Good luck and see how much "Leave No Trace" observations can be!
The pictures keep coming in. So far there have been 17 confirmed species spotted by 5 of our members. That means 50% of the group has uploaded at least 1 observation. I also last counted 7 of our entries had been deemed "Research Grade" quality. I think that is SO awesome! Don't get frustrated if some of your uploaded pictures are not showing up. Most have to be "verified" by another trusted user to show up in our Blitz. Sometimes this takes hours or days (or longer). The event runs until October 3rd so by all means, continue to take pictures even if we are no longer camping at Bay Springs. The region is the entire state of Mississippi.
Make sure to log your finds from this past weekend. They are slowly coming in. I'd love to see what everyone saw!
While camping at Bay Springs this weekend, use your phone to take pictures of ANY wildlife you come across and identify it (ask for help!). This can be insects, birds, fish, critters or really anything that is alive and kicking! The more you can document the better! Have fun while camping but remember, leave no trace!
