I am (or rather was) a zoologist, worked on bats and seals in Germany. Now I live in Spain and in 2014 I have started to get interested in all the creatures around here - mainly Andalusia.

Edit: I bought a new camara in 2020 (Panasonic Lumix FZ 82) and hope I'll be able to get some decent photos of birds. Another new (second-hand) camera is Olympus Tough TG-6, which I bought in August 2021 and then had a go at snorkelling.

For 2021 I started a challenge "my daily beast", where I want to take a photo of a different animal species every day. (See journal post 2022/01)
