Hi friends!
I'm Michelle, I live and work on southern Vancouver island and have a serious case of Biophilia!
I work in horticulture, at a nursery specializing in Native plants of my local bioregion, which is on the traditional land of the Songhees, Esquimalt, and Wsanec Nations, as well as the Scia-new and T'sou-ke Nations.
I am blessed to live and work in part of the only bioregion in Canada that supports Quercus garryana and its related prairie-oak species.
I am still a novice naturalist but have decades ahead of me to learn, so exciting!
