I was born in Wyoming and learned to love the outdoors, nature and wildlife from spending several weeks each summers in the Rocky Mountains, Grand Tetons, and Yellowstone. Moving to Virginia gave me the opportunity to see the Allegheny mountains, visit Monticello, learn about the Atlantic Ocean and beauty of the East Coast. We would visit my relatives in Kansas, every summer and after I married and moved to Texas, I continued to learn about the very different landscape of the south. Now as a grandmother, Master Gardener, Master Naturalist and lover of all bugs, I hope to continue to learn, volunteer where needed and show my 3 granddaughters the joy of running in the rain, playing in the dirt, and discovering all the wonder around us and lots of bugs.
