A native Floridian where my love of botany and wildlife biology was born, currently living in San Diego, CA. From a young age I hunted for carnivorous plants in my back yard and surveyed the bogs and swamps of my childhood for a glimpse of the ivory-billed woodpecker. After graduating from Arizona State University with a B.S. in Botany in 2006, I have worked as a botanist and wildlife biologist in environmental consulting and non-profit organizations in Arizona, California, Oregon, and across the Great Basin states. My diverse background includes focused plant, amphibian, reptile, avian, mammal, and invertebrate surveys, small mammal and reptile tracking and trapping, plant taxonomy, technical report writing, native plant production, organic farming, and informal education. I hold permits to survey for federally endangered butterfly species in Oregon and California as well as collect listed plant species for herbaria submittal in California.
