I was a country child, by birth and by nature, tuned in to the cycles of the seasons. But my 'country childhood' was in Wiltshire in the UK. Living on Cranberry Lake has been a blessed return to my roots, but with the added delight of having to learn a whole new lexicon of plants, animals and birds. Nature has always been my wisest teacher.
