I consider myself a citizen scientist as an active Contributing Editor at BugGuide.net. My passion leans toward moths, those maligned denizens of the night. I have reported more than 900 species of moths sighted in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, and observed more than 1000 species of moths throughout Virginia, Maryland, Ohio, and Kentucky. It is my hope to contribute meaningful observations to the pool of knowledge found here at iNaturalist.
