I first became interested in Odonata in 1969 as a student at the University of Northern Iowa. I have extensive collections of voucher specimens of odonates for Iowa and South Dakota. My main interest is in the geographical and temporal distribution of the species of Odonata. I have been a member of the Dragonfly Society of the Americas since 1996, serving on the executive council since 2003 (6 years as a regular member for 6 yrs, Pres-elect., Pres., Past-pres, for 2 yrs each, and as the editor of the Bulletin of American Odonatology to present) and I am the Great Plains Administrator for OdonataCentral.org.
