I am the Botanist/Plant Ecologist for South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks. I work primarily with rare and threatened plants, however, I am now branching out into pollinator ecology and biology, plant-insect interactions, management techniques to promote both wildlife (i.e., game) habitat and opportunities for conservation of rare, threatened, and endangered plant and animal species. I am a native plant gardening enthusiast, an up-and-coming lichenologist, and thoroughly enjoy long, slow walks on the open range! I have done ecological research and plant ID in the Southwest (Sonoran to Alpine in AZ), the Upper Midwest, Oklahoma, and now South Dakota.
