I love to study all species of New Zealand fungi, lichens, mosses, underwater species, and in particular ornithology. I am an artist, and love to create 3D embroidered sculptures inspired by our New Zealand species. I own Cathy Jane Designs. I'm always on the lookout for new species I can then create into new works, hence always needing new samples. I'm a keen tramper, long distance runner, and have an exhausting enthusiasm for all things in nature.
