Greetings!

My name is Byron Meade and I am an instructor of biology at the University of Pikeville and a conservation photographer specializing in fungi. My background is in botany, but I now spend the majority of my time trying to catalog the vast fungal biodiversity found in and around eastern Kentucky.

If you see someone with a floppy hat and camera gear, crawling around the ground at the Breaks Interstate Park, it is probably me!
