I was born in Massachusetts, grew up in near Chicago, attended Purdue University, married and moved to Massachusetts and worked for a large defense contractor for 40 years. I retired in 2006 and spend my time travelling, birding, hiking and volunteering at the Great Meadows National Wildlife Refuge: Concord Unit.
My hobby is contributing to the crowd sourced map of the world openstreetmap.org and participating in their humanitarian projects.
I participate in a group that has performed over 600 weekly bird surveys at Great Meadows and reported the sighting to ebird.org
We have a VW Camper roam the country for 3-4 months each year.
