Did you know some grasshoppers are so small their adult females reach only 9 mm in length? Now you know!

Full-time passionate naturalist, born in the picturesque city of Šibenik (in 1992); originally from the Dinaric Alps: Paklenica Mt. and Moseć Mt. (so preferring cold places); PhD; working on the Faculty of Science in Zagreb; teaching Evolution

Accidentally I've become a specialist in crickets and grasshoppers (Orthoptera) of Europe and pygmy grasshoppers (Tetrigidae) of the world. You can see my research at https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Josip_Skejo3/research

I'm a great fan of iNaturalist and Flickr and I like to spend time identifying. iNaturalist is the future of faunistics and a virtual place where time is well-spent.
