I'm an evolutionary ecologist based at Massey University, Palmerston North. I'm involved in a wide range of research including ecological, taxonomic and phylogentic work on weta and other insects. I recently established an online guide to NZ orthoptera (weta, grasshoppers etc). It is a work in progress because we have so much to do revising taxonomy (names), especially of the so-called cave weta.
