I study planthopper systematics and am in charge of a small institutional insect research collection (where I teach entomology). I focus on the Delphacidae, especially of the New World, but have recently also worked on Cixiidae, Derbidae, and Issidae. My photographs are mostly research specimens (live images are by permission or from my iPhone). I am interested in supplementing my specimen-based research with observations based on images of living organisms.
