April 8th Bio Blitz Sycamore Canyon Arroyos & Foothill Conservancy

Hello you wonderful iNaturalist people.

I am working with the Arroyos & Foothills Conservancy to put together a bio blitz of Sycamore Canyon on April 8th. Sycamore Canyon is a 10 acre undeveloped parcel off of 2815 E. Chevy Chase in Glendale. They will be purchasing this land to be maintained as a wildlife corridor.

My hope is to meet many of you for the first time, spending the day or as many hours as you can spare, iNatting the heck out the area. If you look on iNat, you can see that this is an under served area. Note: there is one very narrow deer path. Expect respectable bush-wacking.

There will also be an opportunity for an evening explore for you night crawlers, you know who you are. You do not have to sign up for the evening portion below, just let me know you are coming and I will share details.

For those of you that don't live near by or can't come, I hope we can count on you for identifications. A project is being created for the day, and I will post it.
