Today was an absolutely beautiful day to go for a nice walk. The weather was around 75 degrees and sunny and I luckily had little homework to do and had time to go for a stroll. I payed particular attention to plants when making observations, and found some ferns, some moss, some flowers as well as some berries. My favorite find was the Elegant Zinnia, which was a flower all alone along the path. Overall, this walk was a nice way to explore nature and get out of my dorm.

Today was a beautiful fall day. The weather was comfortable at around 66 degrees, the sun was shining and there were beautiful fall leaves decorating the paths and sidewalks. It was a perfect day to explore Houghton Garden Conservation Area, which I have never been to. It was so relaxing walking the trails there, and I saw many types of fungi such as the Mossy Maze Polypore, Lichen, some Coral Spots and a mushroom. I also think I found some green algae. Over by the water, it was peaceful to listen to the crickets, the bird songs and the water flowing. What a perfect way to spend my Sunday afternoon.

I often go for walks around here as it is peaceful and it has beautiful views of water. today I went with my dad and it happened to rain out today so we wore old sneakers and light rain coats. We usually see deer and plenty of squirrels, but today we only really saw a few birds. Because it was lightly raining, the trails were empty, so my dad and I were able to enjoy the path to ourselves and had fun stopping along the way to check out the nature. Along with some trees and lichen, we were able to spot two different kinds of mushrooms. I love coming here to walk, and it was definitely a nice way to take my mind off of stressful exams and assignments.
