Fleabanes (Erigeron)

E. philadelphicus – upper and middle leaves clasping, wider at base of blade, with branching veins; lower leaves broadly margined or winged petioles; veins branching
E. strigosus – upper and middle stem leaves narrowed basaly, non-clasping, linear or lanceolate, parallel veins


Fungi
When identifying mushrooms, mycologists suggest digging one up because there are features (or lack of them) that help with identification. Here's an observation that has three photos: Obs 32029936. One of the photos shows the underside, making this a gilled mushroom. The base and stem may have other features.
