Morning-Glories

On a phylogenetic tree morning-glories are classified first as eukaryotes, and more specifically as land plants. They are flowering plants in the family convolvulaceae. The morning-glory, species ipomoea has the adaptation unique unto itself that it grows rapidly to get above other plants so its petals can act as ’solar panels’ to soak up the maximum amount of light as competition for space is intense. An adaptation that applies to this flower and all others is that they themselves are an adaptation that help the plant make new seeds to reproduce.
