Clicker training blue jays is possible and it’s easy to do. A clicker, for those who don’t know, is a small plastic box with a button and it makes a click noise when the button pressed. A clicker is usually used to train dogs, but can be used to train cats, rats, horses, rabbits and birds. If you’ve clicker trained dogs or any other animal, clicker training blue jays with be simple. Clicker training blue jays can be useful, if there’s a flock jays you feed and you want them to call them to your yard.

𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐬 𝐍𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐝: A clicker, (preferably a loud one) unsalted peanuts in shell (these work well as treats)

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩𝐬
𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩 𝐨𝐧𝐞: Click once and toss the jay(s) a peanut. The jay(s) might be scared of the clicker, but this is okay, they will gradually get used to the sound.
𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩 𝐓𝐰𝐨: Repeat the steps in step one.
𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞: You can tell the jay(s) are learning, once you see the jay(s) perk up and act more excited when you click.
