Marine isopod found 85m above water line at low tide
Found along the wrack line of the previous high tide, located at the border of the light, dry sand and the hard, wet sand.
This hydroid could be observed growing on many bean clams. The appendages of this organism could be seen sticking out from the wet sand of the intertidal sandy beach.
This flowering plant could be observed growing in the harsh upper zone of the beach, indicating it's hardiness and tolerance for high salinity levels.
Found at surf line, with small waves still washing over it. Appears to have died more recently.
These clams were observed most prevalently in a distinct band along the shore. This pattern of distribution likely varies by tidal conditions, moving along the moisture gradient to support the best conditions for suspension feeding.
