Mulettes d’eau douce, coquillages vides trouvé sur les berges Lac de Deux Montagnes.
This was probably not a species regularly found in the Waterfowl Park of Sackville NB, but this was a broken casing/shell of an oyster. This was most likely the prey of a species of bird (duck or seagull) that ate the oyster and left its casing remains. Upon inspection, the outside of the shell was a brownish colour with various layers/ stripes of colour and the inside was a metallic like blue and white colour. It was in the shape of a very undefined cone, with a deeper cave in it, and as the colour went down into the cave, it turned more white/brown.
Size: About 6 inches in length.
Shape : Round oval shape.
Color: The inside of it is white , but not a pure white. It some hues of blue and pink and the bottom.
Patterns: The inside resembles a shell. It looks smooth on the inside. It has some curvature on the inside.
Habitat details: Lives in marshy areas.
