These pictures were taken in late afternoon on a sidewalk, hence the big bug shadow and grainy background from cropping and editing. Tiny insects, bugs, are hard to take pictures of in the open, as they are usually in a hurry to go someplace. As I was cleaning away organic debris and raking in landscape rocks, this critter flushed from its seemingly safe, happy place in the rocks.
Saw this bug just east of Mona, Utah it acted like a cross between a grasshopper and wasp- flying and jumping. It was fuzzy along the main body, with a smooth texture and white or yellow markings along the back end.
