Appears to have 3 stamens? Long involucral bract, ,hard stems, pith - irregularly interrupted with small lacunae
Went back on Jan 28 and took additional photos of the same plant. Definitely interrupted pith. Shining base of stems
Changing ID to astreptus!
Lemma lobes 3.5mm, glumes 9-10mm, relatively long rachilla segment at about 1mm, straightened awn ~7mm suggest R. fortunae-hibernae. Windy site made for worn florets and photos of poor focus.
A total of 150+ plants in a couple of closely adjacent patches. More could likely have been found earlier in the season with higher number of plants with fertile material.
