The White-tailed Shrike is a bird endemic to western Namibia and southwestern Angola. Although it is said to be common where it occurs this species has always managed to elude me ever since I first came to Namibia more than 30 years ago. This recent trip I was again determined to try and find one. It was again without any luck until one of the last days one finally appeared in view and made up for the long anticipation by being a right poser that that came closer and closer. Of course it presented a new problem afterwards of having to sort and choose between the probably hundreds of images I shot in my excitement. It can only be an appropriate coincidence that it happened to be my record 22222 on INaturalist😄💚💚💚
