Possible Carpenter Bee adult Queen Hymenoptera. Found in UF’s NATL resting on a stem in the wildlife flowers and bushes.
Found dead at the cabin at Francis Canyon Ranch.

This creature was about the size of a bumble bee. I thought it was a bee, but I guess it could be a fly of some sort. It looks almost leucistic. Any ideas? ID suggestions don't seem to match up. Thank you.
I saw this flying around someone's head and thought it was a large bumblebee or carpenterbee, but it flew off and landed on a tree branch. This was as close as I could get before it was gone again.
