This nestling swallow is panting in the hot evening air in its nest on a support under a bridge. I know it's some kind of swallow because I see the adults of this colony swooping through the air hunting, although I didn't see any adult visit this nest during my 45 minute watch.
The recording is the plaintive cries of the colony of baby birds under the bridge. I can't say if this particular one was chirping while I watched.
