Very large snapping turtle i saw it at 8:15 am going into Newmarket and again at 8:30 am leaving Newmarket. I would assume that she is laying eggs on the side of the road
My friend Martha Kashap and I witnessed a large Blandings Turtle migrate from the Moon River to Lake Muskoka beside the threatened Bala Falls.
To tell apart from the introduced Red-eared Slider, note the red under the edge of the carapace, the yellow stripes on the head, and the lack of red stripe on the head.
