White Rock lake, lower spillway steps
This is for the snake

Sharing Space
Spring is mating season for snakes so you see more of them out and about. This was a scene I saw on the lower spillway steps at White Rock lake. Snowy egrets will eat snakes so I watched to see what would happen.

No Big Deal
I guess the egret was not hungry or thought the snake was too big to be worth the trouble. They passed by peacefully.
Numerous in the area. Photo & entry by CP.

Canada VIPs With Their Protective Escort
These are obviously very important geese. Their escort of shovelers are hard at work sweeping for underwater mines.
